I had a sprinkler made of plastic that had fallen apart after two years. This sprinkler is well made and the center blade sprayer pops-up to spray farther. A good feature my plastic unit didn't have. The base is a solid, heavy made steel that holds the sprinkler in place, but can easily be moved. The hose connector is a sturdy brass fitting. Like previous reviewers, I wish it had a 90 degree and 45 degree patterns. Living in Texas, this sprinkler will get used a lot.

This sprinkler works very well. Only problem is that the diagram of the coverage choices isn't really helpful. The pictures don't look like what's on the sprinkler itself.

After ordering from Amazon at $23.01, found same item in my local hardware store for $19.99. Local store doesn't have discount pricing and normally is higher priced than big box hardware stores. First time I'm aware of that I've been burned on pricing for an Amazon purchase. Just a warning to check local pricing.
